Cherry Market

Introduction

Every year, 3 million tons of food is wasted in the UK. We want to stop this from happening.

Last year, the Bread Stall was very successful, so we have decided to carry on with this project, with the help of The School and Family Works.

Cherry Market Launch 2021!

Hello everyone! We are very excited to announce that we are relaunching the Bread Stall! smiley

Every year, 3 million tons of food is wasted in the UK. We want to stop this from happening.

Last year, the Bread Stall was very successful, so we have decided to carry on with this project, with the help of The School and Family Works.

The stall will be open every Wednesday, from 3:15. You can find us in the school playground, beside the Fruit Shop. All we ask is for a donation of at least 20p to support the running of the stall.

Our first stall will take place on Wednesday 29th September.

We look forward to seeing you there! smiley

Spring Term Update

Hello everyone. Throughout the autumn term, we saw lots of you at the stall and have really enjoyed running it each week.

For the new term, we wanted to update you on our progress, as well as let you know about some changes we have made and an exciting announcement!

So far this year, we have saved almost 700kg of food from ending up in landfill! This is about the same as a crocodile! Our aim is to reach a goal of 1.5 tonnes of food saved by half term!

We have changed our donations to make it fair for everyone. Going forward, we will be asking for 20p per item at the stall.

Finally, following the support we have received, we have decided to run a second stall every week. From Friday 14th January, we will be running a second stall on a Friday afterschool each week.

Thank you to everyone who has visited the stall so far, and we look forward to seeing even more of you this year.
